FOWS: Friends of Woolsery School

At Woolsery School, our PTA – Friends of Woolsery School (FOWS) – plays a vital role in making school life even more enjoyable and enriching for our children. We’re a group of parents who plan fun events such as Frozen Fridays, Halloween Discos, and Summer Parties, all while raising much-needed funds that directly benefit every child in the school.

 

The money raised by FOWS helps to:

Ø  Support the whole-school Christmas production

Ø  Give our Year 6 pupils a special send-off with yearbooks or a fun trip before moving on to secondary school

Ø  Fund new library bookshelves and resources

Ø  Contribute to school trips, helping to reduce costs for families

Ø  Fund improvements such as repainting the playground lines, ensuring all ages can enjoy the space

 

As a small school, FOWS is a vital charity that helps Woolsery School to do even more for its pupils – supporting opportunities, resources, and experiences that make a real difference.

This year, our fundraising goal is to help create a new quiet area and complete the library refurbishment.

Get Involved!

Anyone can join at any time of the year — you don’t need to be a committee member to take part. Whether you’d like to help at an event, volunteer behind the scenes, or even just bake a cake, all contributions are welcome.

Our meetings are friendly, informal, and often held at the local pub!
